UMass Dartmouth’s Science and Engineering (SENG) building renovation project is underway. Unique Metal Works is working on their extensive duct scope, and Arden Engineering Constructors is working on the mechanical scope. Unique uses a 3D Modeling/BIM workflow for their duct fabrication. In addition, 3D scanning equipment and layout mapping software are used to ensure accuracy for equipment and duct installation within confined spaces. Currently, Unique is working on the rooftop installation of multiple racks of supply and exhaust duct. A total of 14 sections were prefabricated at Uniques state-of-the-art fabrication facility, transported, and now being assembled onsite.
