What is the most interesting fact you have learned about the construction industry?
I find it interesting that no two jobs are the same when it comes to accounting and bookkeeping. There is no cookie-cutter way of handling a job. Each is unique in its way, and you always learn.
What stands out the most for you working in this industry?
I like that I am involved in the day-to-day operations of something that will make a difference in someone’s life. A school, an office building, a hospital. It’s exciting to be part of something that matters. You pass by a building you contributed to and feel pride, and say yes, we did that!
What has been your biggest challenge or best experience working in your position within the construction industry?
Construction accounting is so different than any other industry. It is always challenging and takes you outside the box. It is never boring. I also work with great people. I think that is most important.
